The NOVA
Center for the Performing Arts is presenting "Love, Loss, and What I Wore,"
March 31 through April 9, as this year's Rankin File Production. Written by the
notable sister duo Nora Ephron ("Sleepless in Seattle," "When Harry Met Sally")
and Delia Ephron ("You’ve Got Mail"), "Love, Loss, and What I Wore" is a
play of monologues and ensemble pieces about women.The pieces run the gamut from
clothes and memories of mothers, prom dresses, buying bras, hating purses and
why some women only wear black.Based on the best-selling book by Ilene
Beckerman, "Love, Loss and What I Wore" will be directed by Mary Ann Connors.
The Rankin File Production originated with Venture Theater and is a
celebration for women and about women. Each year, the NOVA Center selects a play
written by a woman and portraying empowering female leads.
The Rankin File Production is named after Jeannette Rankin, a native of Montana who served as
the first woman in Congress.Ticket are $21 for adults, $16 for seniors
